About Carin

I have always been an orderly and organized thinker. I enjoy sorting and organizing things -- from books to cleaning supplies to my husband's socks -- 
and I have been known to rearrange furniture in the middle of the night because something didn't fit properly. I am a huge fan of efficiency and I believe all processes can be streamlined and improved to better suit the people who use them.

I spent more than ten years in retail merchandising and management, creating appealing displays for stores and managing warehouses and storerooms full of merchandise, with a focus on ease of use and quick access. After I married, I shifted gears and went to work as an editor for an educational publisher, helping to create books and other classroom materials for students with special needs. What do those two careers have in common? Organization! Even at the publisher, it was necessary to boil each product down to its simplest, most effective form, and to structure the material so that a student with a cognitive disability could understand and benefit from it.

In addition to a passion for organization, I also love working with people. I love getting to know people and figuring out how I can help them rediscover their space, and sometimes their sanity along with it. Discovering people's unique personalities and finding ways to help them organize their lives is one of the true joys of my work.  I look forward to helping you clear the way for the next step in your journey!



My Code of Ethics

Clients and potential clients have the right to expect the following from me:
  • Honesty – I will honestly represent myself, my abilities, my fees, and my time.
  • Compassion – I will never judge a client based on the circumstances of their organizing project. 
  • Discretion – I will keep confidential all client proprietary information, including business information and personal information, unless expressly granted permission to share it.
  • Integrity – I will only recommend external services, professionals and materials that I believe are in the client’s best interest. I do not accept referral fees from these recommendations.

I expect the following from my clients:
  • Honesty – The relationship between an organizer and a client must be based on a truthful and honest commitment to seeing the project through to the end.
  • Compassion – All people who live in the client’s home or who are directly affected by the project should be consulted in advance and should be in agreement.
  • Integrity – Unless otherwise arranged in advance, payment is due when services are rendered.
